Beautifully situated around the Pattaya bay, this town is a must if you're anywhere around the Bangkok area. Just 1,5 hours from the BKK international airport, it has lots to offer. Besides the nasty sex industry which is prominent everywhere there are tourists in Thailand, the city offers grand views, high-end hotels and a busy beach walk. The Pattaya beach nowadays stretches out about 20-25 miles from the city centre in the direction of Rayong (where there are no tourists at all, strangely enough).
